squier VM jazz - apollo?

i bonded with this bass immediately. especially after the bridge swap. it's dependable and feels like home. it's got this natural kind of 800hz snarl... perhaps too much of it. would the apollo set clean up the mids any? noiseless is definitely an upside, as i often favor the neck pickup just a little and play with a reasonable amount of overdrive.

Well, the Apollos are certainly scooped, and so they have a vintage thing going on. They are my favorite J bass pickups, so I might be biased, but I don't think they have any midrange 'issues' at all.
