If I am understanding this right, in order to make them hum canceling in 2 and 4 and the right polarity, i have to reverse the leads on the ssl5, and use the mid ts in the neck, and the neck in the mid?

Thanks for the input! How do you like this setup, does the ssl6 act as sort of a higher output ts?
I happen to LOVE my set of Texas Specials. Probably the best single coil sound I've ever heard and they beat out a set of Fralin Blues Specials. They just had more bite and sounded more strat-like. Real balanced in the mids where the Fralins were too steely sounding with a hard metallic edge to them. Texas Specials need to be in Ash/maple strats to sound their best. They aren't as crisp or snappy in alder/rosewood.
I did a recording with the Texas Specials where I played in the 2nd position... I'll try and find it and post it here.
They're also amazing at all gain levels.
