St. Vincent Guitar

Anyone try one of these? Specially the HHH model. It looks to me like some sort of firebird 7 inspired design? What's it supposed to sound like?

I love Music Man guitars, but this one is a big no for me. It feels weird and not balanced when I played it.

I can't find it now, but seem to recall an interview with her discussing the shape was partly driven by a desire to accommodate a woman's bust?

One thing about the St Vincent model that isn't immediately apparent - very small, narrow neck.
I have the Albert Lee HH which reportedly is the same profile Annie chose for her sig model.
Great feeling neck, but it's definitely made for small hands.

I think an Albert Lee HH will be next for me.

I rather like it. It looks like the jr. version of the angular Hamer that Glenn Tipton has sometimes been seen with. My only gripe with it would be upper-fret access, which doesn't seem to be grat.

I don't hate the body shape, honestly. But I kinda want to hate it for other reasons.

Mini hums... meh.
Three of them... meh.
Wannabe retro trem... meh.
And that body shape totally doesn't get along with the headstock shape. Kinda looks like someone threw a random neck on a random body.

Yeah I think the reverse headstock with the half pickguard and gold foil covers looks a little better

its a weird shape, and upper fret access is awful, but i think it looks cool

I've never actually played one, but it looks like the fret access is at the 19th fret. That's not so horrible.

I think it is pretty hideous looking for reasons already stated...
Long body,
mismatched headstock,
but also, that pickguard is totally ugly in and of itself. But why put it on the guitar where you don't even pick (it IS a PICK guard, right?)?

This is the one I was looking at, kinda like a faux firebird for only $800. I guess the only thing to do would be to wait until I can find one in a store, but they don't seem all that common
