STC 3M4 on a Fender M Hoppus sig.

yeah

I own a Fender Mark Hoppus signature, well, I'm not a Blink 182 fan, but this bass seemed to be a good price/quality deal when I was looking for something to buy. I'm now used to play on this heavy piece of wood and, finally, I like it ! (http://www.el-gato.com/mp3/EL_GATO_1_05_3_caymans.mp3)

I'm quite satisfied of the SPB3 mount on it, but I'd like a little more versatility, only a volume knob is quite frustrating. I'm planning to put a STC 3M4 on it. Did someone try this before ? Do you think it's possible ?
Thks !

I wanna put a STC 3M4 : A tone control circuit with 4 knobs....
There is only a volume knob on this Fender Bass

Ah... is that thing active? And isn't that a bit much?
You could also just put in a concentric pot? Know what I mean? Those things that have two pots in one so you can have tone & volume with just one hole in your pickguard

Hey Yeah:

The STC-3M4 is made for a single pickup bass, so you don't have to worry about dealing with a neck pickup or a blend control. The STC-3a, which pertains to the schematic you're looking at, does have a blend control, so it's not ideal for the Hoppus bass.

Also the "a" in STC-3a means the circuit is designed to work with active pickups. Clearly, this isn't the circuit for you.

The STC-3M4 would work fine, but it has four knobs: volume/slap, bass, mid and treble. You might also consider the STC-3M3, which is the exact same everything at ths STC-3M4, except is has a stacked concentric bass/treble control, which reduces the number of control knobs from four to three.

I hope that helps.
