i was lookin at those. they would look cool on a firebird but not on my lp. the lsrs i think would look better, but still weird. i would like to get my lp to stay in tune better though. i was thinking about getting the earvana nut installed.

They may be super accurate, but these things would drive me nuts. 40:1 ... it would take you all day to tune your guitar!!!

I am perfectly happy with the Sperzels in my Number One. I intend to put them in the new Strat someday.

I've found that my sperzels (16:1 gear ratio maybe?) stay in tune fine and tune accurately enough. Also if you look at the stienbergers you NEED A HEX WRENCH TO ADJUST THEM. I could see myself at a gig without a wrench and without a guitar that is in tune.

My Gotoh tuning machines on my Warmoth work fine and they're just the normal, "put the string thru and tune it and if it goes out of tune do it again" kind. Can't justify a purchase like that at aaaaall.
