Hello!
This has probably been answered here before, but I choose to take the chance anyways.
Just bought a Sterling SUB 4 string bass and the Seymour Duncan SMB-4D to add some more "punch" to my sound. I have installed pickups in basses and guitars before, but never done anything with an active instrument. I started out checking the manual and wire diagrams that came with the pickup, but figured out it's better to be safe than sorry and ask here for advice.
Is there anyone out there that have done the same job I'm about to do? The diagrams look ok, but it's manly for 3-way EQ and not the 2-way my SUB has. It also has a different preamp and already existing wiring than what I could see in my bass.
Would love to have this humbucker in the bass, but don't want to screw everything up by trial and error.
Thank you very much, and sorry if my "Norwegian-English" confuses you!
