Stk-S6b vs Stk-S9b

Hey, I need to upgrade the pickups of my old Strat.
For a hard rockin', punchy sound with lots of definition; which one
Would you guys recommend?
Can't find much info about the difference between the two.

What pickups are planning on pairing them with? The S9b will be hotter, and so you may well lose some 'Strattiness' compared to the S6. I'm currently using 2 S4s in the neck/middle and an S7 in the bridge for more classic Strat tones, with just a little extra push in the bridge.

I was thinking of s6b or s9b, s4m, s7n.
Do you think the s9 will get too hot compared
to the other two?

the s9 is very middy and highout put for a single coil. you wont mistake the tone for a paf but it doesnt sound much like a vintage single coil either. its a great pup, just doesnt have any vintage character

To me, an STK-S9 sounds nothing like a Strat pickup. It is a cool sound with tons of mids, and it is loud...but it isn't Stratty. The STK-S6 has more bass (rather than mids) and is a great choice for the bridge position. The brightness of the bridge position matches well with the Stk-S6. For some reason, it sounds a little more Stratty to me, even though the EQ doesn't reveal that.

the s6 sounds more stratty to me than the s9 for sure.
