STOLEN BOOGIE ALERT - Philly, Delaware South Jersey Area

Hey everyone,

My Car was stolen on Sunday night while visiting Philly for a few hours. In the trunk was a Mesa Boogie Mark IV amp head, along with a PRS guitar.

The Amp is unique in that it has a crimson snake skin covering on the shell. Also is missing footswitch. If anyone sees something like this come up, please contact me ASAP at andre.aklian at gmail.com . I will post some pics tonight and also see if I can get the serial number of her.

Thank you,

Dre

What part of Philly was it?

I doubt they stole the car for the gear. They probably took the car for the car. The gear may end up being used, rather than sold, as "everyone" has a friend or relative who plays, or knows someone who plays. It doesn't always end up in a pawn shop.

I hope they're recovered and then we can have another happy ending like Petty's guitars.
And we can make public the picture of the POS who stole them. Just like they did with the stoopid security guard who stole Petty's killer guitars. Can you believe this idiot tried to pawn one a few days later a couple miles away for $250.

I hope the thief who took your stuff is equally stupid and makes a mistake like Daryl Washington.

This also serves as a reminder to write down the serial numbers on all our gear. I'm guilty of this too. I did it 5 years ago, but haven't done it since. Time to do that this weekend. Also, photograph the gear and it's serial number.

Sorry to hear about your loss. That's a crusher, having your car, guitar, and amp taken. Sorry, man!
