Strabro vs Quarter Pound

Hey all, after putting it on the shelf for a while I’m digging the Custom Shop Quarter Pound I had wound years back. It’s an SSL-4T with a white cover wound by MJ. Now I’m thinking it would be better suited with a more P90 neck to work with it. This SSL-4 is great in the bridge with a 500K volume and 1M tone, but not neck voiced at all... not enough glass. Has anyone rivalled a Strabro and a Quarter Pound? Curious on observations.

Re: Strabro vs Quarter Pound

If you're looking for a glassy P90, a Strabro is the way to go. It taps from a P90 sound to a Strat sound, so you can use a trim pot to dial in exactly what you want from it.
