Re: Straightening out pedals...

LOL!! NICE PROCESS!! PILE TO PERFECTION!! You like the Holeyboard? Chains holding the pedals? Bet Octo mom wishes she had an Octoboard to switch the kids off and on!! haha sorry.. It was running thru my pea brain and I had to say it..

What you use the Octa to control?? Very nice collection of Wamplers!!

Re: Straightening out pedals...

Question....

How do you find the boost channel of the Plexi Drive Deluxe? It seems too bright for me, I wish there were trimmers inside the pedal to adjust gain and tone. I dig my Wamplers, Pinnacle and Velvet are staples of my board, Clarksdale fights with the Fulldrive, I like the boost of the Fulldrive. Maybe a Tumnus + Clarksdale would bump it. ;)

Re: Straightening out pedals...

By any chance, does the CARA Clap Tone sound scratchy.

Re: Straightening out pedals...

I love guessing. You like Wampler pedals ... right?

With the exception of the Pedal Palette and The Depths, my intention was to have a Wampler pedal board. However, I failed since I still have eight more Wampler pedals to find a spot for... So they are going on to another pedal board.

The Holeyboard (That wooden one) is too heavy to lug around, so it will be loaded separately with Strymon and other company pedals.

Re: Straightening out pedals...

^^^ Might want to crack open a new thread. I'll meet you there.

Re: Straightening out pedals...

Not meaning to high jack the thread. Do you guys prefer to run delay into reverb or vice versa?

I rarely use both at the same time because they can sound cluttered, and tend to run them in parallel if I do. I suppose if I had to run them in series, I'd put the delay first and try to avoid using overly long delay times or too many repeats.

A similar trick I learned from Satch is to skip the reverb and instead stack multiple delays (he had 4 set up) with the shorter ones first in the chain. You can approximate the reverb / delay sound you're going for by using different combinations of the delays and the resulting sound is less cluttered than using a reverb.

Re: Straightening out pedals...

I prefer an amp with verb, but my main amps do not have reverb. Im still hone in the best pedal order so good question! right now I have 2 delays on my board before my reverb. I like both of the delays but they sound very different, so Im running both. (not always on of course) With both on, I rarely need any reverb..
