Strange 7 string pickup

Hello to everybody!

I bought a RG7321 last week and it has a Duncan Designed pickup with a row of ceramic magnet cylinders in it. I sure that it's a handmade mod by former owner. Should I replace them with standart metal slugs?

Do you like the sound, feel and response?

If "No," replace them.

If "yes," keep them.

Yes, but I don't know how the original HB-7 (I think this is it) sounds. I have never seen modded pickups like this before. "Kolkhoz-style" modding.

but, how does it sound? If it sounds like it's something you like, then keep it.
