straps...

poles take too long but I wanna know...

Straps are very important, or you could care less, and what kind of straps do you prefer...also how much is too much to spend on a good strat (if you even care)?

I love a good strap and have paid around $70.00 for one of the ones I have...I know this might seem dumb but I love a good strap.

If you are a strap lover, where is a good place to get them online...I hate shopping in guitar shops, and only go to vintage/used shops...most of them do NOT have straps unless you want an Ernie ball strat or something like that...I need leather straps!!!

Re: straps...

I dont know about online but, I buy mine a GC. I think straps are really important also. I like the high dollar leather ones.

+1. Stole the words out of my mouth.

Re: straps...

I go with the $5 two-inch wide solid colored web ones at GC. I go for the ones with the good leather ends, though. I've never had one fail on me, and I've been using them since the beginning. The only problem I had was with the 40-ton Jazz bass of doom... 2" wasn't wide enough for my shoulder's liking.

yeah...see I hate going to GC...but for Straps and a few other thing I have to go! I also dig the really nice pricey leather stuff!!!

Re: straps...

I ust use one of those nylon dunlop 2" ones, which is okay for now. When I get my Hamer Standard I am diffenitly getting a nice strap. Prolly one of those ones with the clips!

Re: straps...

I'm all about those thin, tweed looking Fender straps.

Re: straps...

I love the Levy ones that are made out seatbelt material. Prolly pay 10$ for one with a cool design, like, black and white checkers for instance. awww yeah... that's just awesome.

Re: straps...

Most of my straps are 2-3" nylon webbing that cost less than the Schaller strap locks I buy with 'em. I have one nice leather strap that was $35-40.

Re: straps...

I pick my strap to match the look of the guitar. Some need your basic nylon, and some like the look of suede. I use one of those really thin vintage style ones for my strat.

Re: straps...

I wear the cheapest Fender strap you can buy, but id get a Tweed one if i wasnt such a lazy ass. :smack:

Re: straps...

I've got a Levy's strap, I think it's nylon... it has a cool skull pattern on it. It doesn't really match my guitars, but it's a great strap. not too wide either.

Re: straps...

Well, I think people should shop local so I'm always at the guitar shops.
I have a leather ernie ball strap, I prolly paid about $20 for it...
Rock On :smoker:

Re: straps...

i use dunlop D-38's on all my guitars. really comfortable, and strong as hell- theyre what rob trujillo uses and he spins around in circles with his basses and they hold, so they sure as hell wont break for me.

Re: straps...

i tend to buy a strap per guitar to go with the theme of the guitar i guess. but i just ordered one of these to go with a new hot rod theme tele i'm working on...can't wait 'til it gets off backorder grrrr.....

i have some wild straps from leapord print, to street camo, bright red etc etc...it all depends on the guitar IMO. then basic black for the classic look lol. but i tend to go with nylon, not a huge fan of leather straps. It's a PITA being a graphic designer sometimes b/c everything has to "flow" in my mind.
