LPB + rosewood takes the lead.
Funny, about 6 months ago my mom decided she wanted to learn to play.
She got a LPB + rosewood MIM fat strat and a marshall haze. Much better than the gear I started on!
Anyways it'll be a lil weird if we both end up with the same thing.

LPB + Rosewood
If I were gonna buy a MIM Strat right now, it would be white w. maple, or CAR w. rosewood. Since you didn't put the first one, I picked the second one.
black and maple is where it's at.
actually, maple is where it's at.
my tele is white, I'd like a little contrast if possible. If I play and phenomenal white strats I'll go for it but it's technically last on my color list right now
Oh yeah, I remember that Tele. It gave me a boner.
i would love to build the start version of my tele deluxe. i love the black pickups / knobs / pickguard with the maple neck and LPB

EDIT: but it's not much of a classic look. if you're going for a more classic look i think rosewood and LPB is extremely cool[/QUOT
Imagine yourself looking in the mirror with each guitar. My vote would be for a charcoal frost with rosewood. Then go with something like mint green/black knobs. Or, black guard, aged white knobs and pickup.
That's why I like this blue/black tele. I'm a sucker for cool color combos on fenders. I tend to prefer the less fruity or pastel colors, in favor of more manly? type shades.
