So with a candy apple red strat (similiar to fender chrome red maybe a little darker) what color pickguar? I've had white moto and was thinking about sticking with it. There is also the Chrome and the gold anodized and clear engine tuned. If I get a moto who has the brightest white???

Re: strat pickguards

I think plain '57 white is the way to go with candy apple red too. But white pearl looks cool too...

Re: strat pickguards

When it comes to Strats I've always been a sucker for white pearloid.

Mint with cream knobs and trem arm tip. :burnout:

I'd go with either.....

Mint guard, cream knobs and covers. Very 60's.

Anodized gold aluminum, cream knobs and covers

Engine turned clear aluminum, black or cream plastic parts.

Re: strat pickguards

If you order a pickguard on-line, it's possible that you won't get exactly what you want. Even though the color names are the same, all p/g colors are not alike. "Mint" can come in different shades; as can "White Pearloid". My 2000 Texas Special Strat had a White Pearloid p/g (stock) which was bright white. When I changed that guitar to H/H I wanted the same color, so I ordered a Fender White Pearloid H/H p/g . The p/g I got was much darker...it was more "pearlish" than white. It didn't make sense to me; how can a stock Fender part be a different color than the same aftermarket Fender part? It looks okay on my Shoreline Gold Strat so I kept it, but I would've preferred the brighter white.

Yeah stratcat i thinking I'll stay with the pearloid or moto or whatever but I want the BRIGHT white. The one I've got is more pearly. Thanks for the link
