Can a strat pickup be installed in a telecaster in either the bridge or neck position?
i find tele neck pups to be fairly warm, dark, and muted.

What about going the other way, tele neck pickups in a strat? I know the angles (and other differences) in the bridge pickups make that swap more of a change, but what about the necks?
Why would you do that?

As for mounting a Strat pu in a Tele bridge position, I suppose you could crazy glue a Tele baseplate to the bottom of a Strat pu. But usually people are trying to find a way to put a Tele bridge in a Strat for the extra punch. Never heard of someone wanting a Strat bridge pu in a Tele.
Anyone try an uncovered tele Quarter Pound neck without the cover? I prefer my neck tele pickups without covers like Zhang. Just wondering if anyone has a QP like this?

Putting a Strat neck pickup in a Tele is commonly done. You could probably file the hole in the pickguard bigger, but I just bought a new pickguard when I did it.
Maybe next time they'll offer a TeleBro-90? hmmm...
