Ok I got the Signature Lick Hendrix book by Andy Aledort

I am sure I will be looked upon as a total newbie and these probably arent very popular :) BUT! I wanted to ask something.

There is mention of:
"Seymour Duncan SSL-1L"
I have never heared of the SSL-1L

I want some new pickups for my Jimmy Vaughan Strat.
I have been told a lot of good things about the Duncans and thought I may as well go for it, and this book sounds great so I was wondering what these were.

I have looked at Fralins, duncan antiquities, van zandts and the such and like them but i hear so much good about these duncans i figured i may as well try em first...

soooo any idea on the SSL-1L ??

would i be better just getting fralin, antiquty or the such??

Re: Strat SSL Help

The SSL1s are great pickups....Vintage tone and A5 pole magnets....The "L" designates Lefthand stagger poles...

If you want the absolute best in the tone you're looking for in a vintage strat single coil, try looking into the Antiquity II series Surfer pickups...
