Strat Wiring

I don't know how redundant this post is, but here it goes.
I've got an HSS strat, and I'm planning on rewiring it at some point. I've figured out most of the planned rewire (pots, pickups, etc.), but there are a few things I want that I'm unsure on how to implement: I want one of those Gilmour switches for adding the neck pickup to the bridge (the bridge should be split, I think, when used this way?), I want to be able to split the bridge (push-push, probably), and I also plan on putting in a kill switch. I was planning on series switching, but unless it sounds really fantastic (and honestly, I don't see the point, really), I think I'll leave that for another time.

Now, are these mods compatible with each other, or are there elements that will conflict with each other? For example, would I have to do some fancy wiring for the split bridge to interact with the Gilmour switch? Or can I wire the Gilmour switch to just add the neck to the bridge regardless of what mode the bridge is in?

Also, I've heard about using a 3 way toggle switch for this in order to have all three pickups on in addition to the N+B mode. Is this a useful sound?

And, final question: how many mini toggle switches can I fit under a strat pickguard? I'm thinking I'll need two, one for the Gilmour mod, and one for the kill switch.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Strat Wiring

You can use push/pull pots to accomplish neck+bridge and to split the bridge pickup without them affecting each other. Basically, you set one to be a "neck on" switch, so you can have 7 different pickup selections.

Re: Strat Wiring

Oh, BTW, just a suggestion, but, on my strats, I always move the 2nd tone control from the mid pickup to the bridge. All you have yo do is move the wire one lug over and you're done.

Re: Strat Wiring

Yeah. I was planning on hooking the first tone to the neck and middle, and the second tone to the bridge. The lack of a bridge tone control was the main impetus for the rewire in the first place.
