Is it really worth the bones to buy, when you already have an OD? Better question, with a Rectifier (which has enough gain as it is), all I need is a smooth, light flavoring to tighten up the sound a bit, so do you think a OD pedal costing over $150 bucks is really worth it? My sound is great as it is, but there's nothing like improvement and the feeling of new gear! Thanks alot!

Is it worth it to buy a TS-808 when I already have a mid 80's Ratt, MIJ Boss DS-1, Fulltone '69....and two MIJ TS-9's modded by John to enhanced TS-808 specs?

Well...I think so! SRV is one of my favorite guitarists so it's fun having the exact piece of gear he favored.

And OD's are cheap compared to guitars and amps...

Be prepared Lew! You'll probably like your modded TS9s better now than the 808...The 808 is going to be thinner sounding, lacking the lows...

The 808 is great but as I said, sometimes the switch is hard to step on in live situations. It's like 1/2 the width of the TS9's switch...The 808 does sound really good and has the original look and vibe...I just finished doing a TS9 for Sweet Lou and he's going to love his...
