Hey guys, I am going to be playing some gigs with a band who has a significant amount of songs in Drop-C tuning (for those who aren't familiar, it's just like Drop-D, only a whole step down). I got a G&L Ascari as a Stupid Deal, and was thinking I would use this guitar. It has a 24.75" (Gibson) scale length - what gauge and/or brand of strings would you recommend? I want them to be thick enough to stay in tune and sound good, but ideally I'll still be able to bend strings. And I would really, really prefer to not have to mod the nut or tuners to fit much thicker strings. For what it's worth, I normally play Fender scale length guitars with .10s. Thank you for any help/advice!!
