String Muffler Thingies?

OK, I've heard about these muffler things that you put near to the nut and it allows you to play very cleanly. Basically, it's a way to cheat and makes sweeping, etc much easier.

What the heck are these things and how do they work? (if they do) How much do they cost? :laugh2:

Yeah, yeah, I know it's cheating, but until I can do it properly, I don't mind cheating...

1) Get a girls hair scrunchy and wrap it around the top of your neck.

2) Get a bandana, and tie it on around the top of your neck.
