Stuck A Green Guard Onto My MIJ Tele(Check It Out)

There's this guy that I've been buying lefty pickguards from via E Bay for $25 each..I've been very happy with the guy's work...So far he's done a white pearl H/S/S strat guard, a white pearl S/S/S Strat guard,and now this Tele guard...Check it out...This is my MIJ Sunburst Custom Tele and I upgraded years ago to a 4 way switch,brass compensated saddles,and Fender CS Nocaster in the bridge and a Texas Special in the neck..Basswood body...Anyway....Here she is.... :burnout:

Looks very 62ish now with the green guard... :dance:

And a second picture....I Love the mint green over sunburst and I do this quite often on my sunburst strats..

Very very nice John. I love the mint green look on any "60's" lookin guitar. A tad bit of brown shoe polish on the guard around the strings (not under) will give it that "smoked" look.

nice, John

the 50s and 60s MIM stuff uses mint, and I think they look better than the American Series stuff

mint guard/ aged white knobs on strat is a cool retro look

another cheap upgrade for teles is early domed knobs .. and they're more comfortable

Thanks Guys...Yes,I Like the earlier dome knobs Curly...My Tele is a 62 custom copy and my Tele book shows the flat topped knobs are correct for the model year...The difference I do see though in mine,is mine doesn't have or never had,the top hat switch tip?
Teles are wonderful guitars to play also...

It's definately mint green,trust me on that....Maybe you're all color blind! :smack: :dance: :wink:

I don't use flat top tele knobs either. Love the domed feel and look.

I love the mint green Tele pickguard John and it looks right with that guitar.

I use mint green pickguards on all of my Strats...even those that are 57 RI's.

My white Strat with the Antiquity Surfers has a mint guard with creamy colored pickup covers and knobs. It looks "happy"!

I like that "happy" look.
