stupid question about Lil Night Train and ohms.....holmes

I have a Lil Night Train head. It's a fun little guy but I don't have a dedicated cab for it. So far I've just run it through my unplugged Blues Junior C-Rex and used that as a cab.

I just bought a TRM vintage cab that I am going to finish myself. It looks awesome by the way, especially for the price. It's a 1x12" that is pretty similar in dimensions to my Blues Junior. Check it out Model VS112U.



I just bought an Eminence Texas Heat to throw in it. Heard good things, hope it will be a good pairing.

Just realized the Texas Heat is 8 ohm. It should work with the Lil Night train but will it matter?

The Lil Night Train says this on the back-- "2 Watts into 16 ohms, 1.5 Watts into 8 ohms."

I'm assuming my 8 ohm speaker will work, but will it not be an ideal match? Is that missing 0.5 watt going to matter?

I hate this kind of stuff. It reminds me of math. Thanks for the help.

You will have no problem at all. The wattage will also change depending on what triode you are using for your power valve. I use a 12AX7 and an 8Ohm Weber Anlico speaker; sounds great!
