Suggestion for a middle pup with P-Rails.

Hi all.
I got a basswood body / maple neck & fingerboard strat which I'm planning to install a P-Rails SHPR-1 and TBPR-1 set.
What single coil for the middle should I use if Im looking for a classic strat single coil (position 4+5) sound ?
Should I use 250k or 500k pots ?
Thanks.

I'm sure you can find stuff on the Duncan website that fits the description of what you want.

But if you've got the space I think it would be cool to go with three P-Rails...

The P-rails, do produce the quack sound of position 2 and 4.... Question is, Do you still need a middle pickup to play with it only ??? Friend of mine has a Strat w/ P-rails and gets that sound... I love it, I have them on a Cheap Dean, and they sound awesome !!!

P-Rails is a great choice. Use 500k pots. There are many choices for a single in the middle, but I would suggest a more vintage toned/output pup (maybe slightly overwound to pair up better with the rail of the P-Rails) to get the best quack in 2 and 4 (in your post you said position 4 and 5...I presume you meant 2 and 4).
