Suggestions for guitar with ash body, walnut top and maple neck/fingerboard

Hi folks,

I need suggestions for a humbucker set (bridge and neck) to be use in a guitar with an ash body, walnut top and maple neck/fingerboard. I would think that this guitar is bright by definition, so I need pickups that will sound chunky but also defined (not muddy or shrill). I play mainly 80's hard rock and heavy metal, and a little bit of progressive rock (no djent).

Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming humbuckers? Custom Custom or a JB in the bridge would do great, maybe an a2 pro or 59 in the neck?

Screamin Demon with those woods for the neck and either a JB or '78 for the bridge.

That sounds like it could be quite 'hard' in tone. I'd be picking something a little 'soft' in attack if you don't want to exacerbate these qualities.

You can think about a hotter model for the bridge; Full shred, PA-TB1/PA-TB2,Distortion....
