I guess $80 or less would be nice. and nothing alnico because I can't afford it

I'm using an Emi Redcoat Ramrod in a low power Laney tube combo. Excellent rock speaker, and efficient. Under $80, I think mine was $74 from Sweetwater. The Greenback 10 is sweet (have them in two 2x10 cabs), but less volume, although that shouldn't be an issue with four speakers. However, they come in around $115 each...

The speaker that was replaced in my Laney was a Celestion G10N-40. Sort of a cross between a GB and a Vin 30. It sounded great, but I went with the Ramrod eventually because I was pushing my volume limit at the gigs I play with the less efficient G10N-40. Again, that should not be an issue with four speakers, and I think they run around $60 each.

Celestion g10n40 sounds great in my blackstar ht5c. They're similar to g10 greenback, but slightly brighter. It actually have more bottom end compared to my mesa mark III combo with EV speaker.

I'd go with Webers. They're my favorite 10's. But you said inexpensive.

I run (2)Emi Ragin Cajun's and (2) Emi Ramrods in my 4x10. Don't tink I could love this combination more

Why not stay with Peavey? Order 10 inch Scorpions to replace what you have. These speakers really do not get the recognition they deserve. I replaced the 8 inch crap speaker in my 1968 Fender Silverface Vibro Champ with a 10 inch 4 ohm Peavey Scorpion and this amp sounds incredible. The Scorpion 10 inch makes my little amp sound much larger.
