Superlead Pickup

Broke

One more addition to the family...I finally got a superlead again. I ran my last one to the ground and sold it. Been dying for another one but I wanted a clean one and I found it. Sweet price too only $900.

It is an original 1973 except for the power cord. Check out all the red dye on the solder joints. It is loud and has that brown tone in bunches.

Re: Superlead Pickup

Wow, a 73 for $900 is a great deal. It's worth at least $1800, just because it's a PTP 73, the transition year of PTP to PCB.

If you're asking about pickups, a Superlead sounds good with most Duncans.
A Custom sounds pushed and fat, the C-5 balances well with most EL-34 amps, the Seth, 59, 78, and Jazz B have killer vintage tone with it, with a little less output and string pull.

Naw I just meant I picked it up.

Yeah I did get a deal!!! I think it may be worth more then $1800 given the shape the amp is in. Not sure how much more but the amp is pristine.

It sounds good with just about anything. Right now I am liking the sound out of my SG with a duncan distortion in the bridge. Super quiet at idle. I have a ts9 in front of it right now as a clean boost. Thats all it needs. Tonal heaven thats is all I can say!!

I have a pearly gates neck that I have been meaning to install in one of my guitars. I am not sure which one yet. I may replace the 57 classic on my SG or the 59 on one of my jacksons.
