Superstrat Build

PowerMetalRaph
Here is a superstrat i have been building up. Its in a relic style but is 100% finished with no dings, chips, worn corners etc. The body is smooth all over. I don't know why i did this to be honest i usually don't like relics. That's why this is more a new finish just with a old look. There's also no paint, The finish has been done with Material like the jem floral vai guitars.

Body: alder.
Scale: 25.5''
Neck: mij charvel 22 fret truss rod adjustment at heel with skunk stripe. compound radius. Rosewood, jumbo frets blah blah
PIckups: Dimarzio pafpro/hs4 with either one volume and a 3way switch or a lynch style arrangement of 1 volume with a push pull to switch pups
Bridge: top mount Gotoh Gibson wrc tremolo, Gotoh locking tremolo posts
I am considering making a p bass style pickguard similar to a charvel spectrum

Note: no parts are bolted on yet there just resting there for the photo, i am also well aware the finish looks like a vomit after sushi but its has got some serious charm

Here she is my ugly girl

Re: Superstrat Build

Looks very comfortable, kinda has that old familiar friend quality.
Nice work.

Re: Superstrat Build

that looks really cool. I love the finish. Looks almost like an old busted up goldtop, but without the nasty greening that comes with a true goldtop.

Re: Superstrat Build

Don't take it personal and maybe its just my computor screen, but the color just makes me want to... Like everything else though.

Re: Superstrat Build

I love it man, I could easily see that thing being someone's signature guitar or someone rocking it up on stage. Relic guitars and me, we just get along. I don't know why.

Re: Superstrat Build

GIBSON gotoh trem, and looks kinda like the bastrd offspring from interracial incest between Ibanez LoPro Edge and OFR??? What the heck guitar did THAT come from? And a Gibby with high-tech, modern material hardware, is that even possible?!!?

Gibson WRC it was a superstrat that gibson commissioned wayne charvel to design. Its quite unique the strings load from underneath and are clamped down.

Re: Superstrat Build

Does anyone think a aged creme pickguard would look good? Either strat style of charvel spectru,

Re: Superstrat Build

I don't, to be honest. That'd be a bit like covering the sushipuke with a napkin. Nothing against strat style pickguards when they serve a purpose. But this one's rear routed, so it doesn't need a pickguard. By the way, is that a KNE body by any chance?

H-S?

I automatically love it.
Count me in. HS with a Paf Pro in bridge position is awesome squared.

Hey kramersteen, I think that neck might come from a HSS model with a maple veneer. Can't remember whether it was called a San Dimas or a Wildcard, but in the current state it hardly matters what name it used to have. There weren't many more with rosewood fretboards. Love the grain on that one.
