I think it's a great idea. Unusual color of choice for that guitar, should make it really stand out from the crowd. Probably chrome hardware on it too, rather than gold (too much color along with the finish).
I'd never rock it myself, but still think it could look pretty darn cool. What're you going for in terms of materials and neck/body joint?

Well, if it were in better shape, cosmetically, I wouldn't consider it. But...
...it isn't. A refin and some new plastic would go a long way towards making it look as good as it plays and sounds (and it does). Yeah, it's a cool model with a cool story (copy of Lita Ford's Runaways Hamer), but that obscurity, coupled with how beat it already is, probably precludes any money it could have been worth. Plus: it's not honest playwear, as evidenced by the immaculate board and original frets. It's been abused for no good reason. I think it'd look great in Seafoam Green!

Thanks for the mockup Fang!
I'm planning on:
-Poplar body (already have a sh*t ton) (not necessarily reliced, but "worn")
-Warmoth maple/maple neck (explorer headstock) ("worn/darkened" as well)
-Worn gold TOM bridge (no floyd anymore..)
-Either gold knobs or cream strat knobs
-25.5" scale
Haven't decided on pickups. (must be all cream tho...)
So, I want it to be a kinda mix of gibson & fender, with a vintage feel.
