surprise under the cover

I have a D Allen chrome Dirty cats bridge I went to swap a gold cover on it, I removed the cover and Surprise! double cream! a few weeks ago I wished there was a way to get one so its not getting covered now BTW how to get all that extra wax off? hair dryer?

I suppose so... If there's a softer way, like a hot plate at a canteen, that would be smoother but, maybe, the hairdryer technique.

If you use a hair dryer you may also melt out some of the wax inside. Just wipe/rub it off with a soft cloth (after scraping off the majority of it).
