Sorry if this has already been asked but does anybody know what switch guitars are? They have features like "ebonite" fretboards and such and i just cant figure out what the hell the guitars are actually made of or anything really specific about there guitars what so ever.

Actually had the opportunity to try one out a few days ago... didn't take it however :smack: A music store I was at actually had a few... (they historically carry weird sh!t I forget which one... the one with the hook style cutaways. It was piss yellowI was about to face looking like a moron by actually playing it, then I got carried away playing a vox ad30 which I then bought
It looked to be made wholly from plastic. It was very ugly... sculpted alot. That's all I can say
I'm guessing "Ebonite" is something like "Ebonol (plastic), and "Vibracel"(body is probably another euphemism for plastic.
The stuff they make the body out of is supposed to have good sustain. it think it is a neck through, except that the neck is actually part of the body, instead of just running through the center or whatever.
i've played one...super light...action was decent...i just can't get over the fact that the look like they are made out of gummi bears.... :smack: if i remember right...it had a floyd...i plugged it into a 5150 combo...didn't sound too bad...but like i said...it made me want candy... :laugh2:
