I was thinking the same thing. If anyone sees this pedal as an easy solution to get synths into your rig, you are going to be in for a shock; it will require at least an ABY pedal, a compressor, additional cables, and a secondary amplifier on stage.
I have the both C9 and Mel9 and I'll say this: It takes some serious skill to get the quality of sounds that you hear on EHX demos. Not that there's anything lacking on the units. It just takes some tweaking to get it into the zone and then touch and muting are everything.
