Synyster Gates Invader

Re: Synyster Gates Invader

So... Uh... Where's your top-selling album? :cool2:

I am a firm believer that every group/individual has at least one catchy tune, from Bonnie Tyler to Skynyrd to B.B. King. But I also know (statistics don't lie) that these bands everyone goes gaga over that show up overnight don't last long and don't really break new ground. Alice Cooper just said (I'm paraphrasing) that the new bands tend to be chameleons scared to do anything unique.
So, If you take a band that is doing the same thing that every other band is doing and putting them on a pedestal, they are then 'over-rated'. Simple 1+1=2 stuff

I'm a picky SOB and I think Avenged Sevenfold is pretty unique in this day and age. They're the first band I've heard that sounds like thrash mixed with Danny Elfman. Good stuff in my book.

Re: Synyster Gates Invader

I've been wanting a TB spaced Invader since forever. I've gone as far as to make one out of a TB Duncan Distortion and then swap all the magnets and poles.

I read on a Facebook posting these will be +/- $20 more than the run of the mill Invader.

Re: Synyster Gates Invader

We just announced this new addition which features white, gold, or chrome-plated pole pieces. You can read more about it here:

Many of you will recognize these from the Schecter Synyster Custom Guitars. We decided it was time to make these available to everyone.

Scott... am I reading the EQ chart right? The Synester Gates Invader is 4 / 8 / 7 (B/M/T) and the original Invader is 7 / 8 / 4 (B/M/T) ???? So tight bottom, higher Treble, and the mids the same??? If it is, I'm buying asap!!!!:scratchch

They prob got it reversed like they did with the 59/custom one. I would buy an invader with that eq in a sec also lol.

Man they've been around about 10 years and put out about half a dozen albums, and if you'll spend time listening to them the sound has changed with less and less screaming from Matt and more and more melodic and "off the beaten path" kinds of tunes.. When the band really broke through with "Bat Country" you could say they literally introduced a new generation of players to the "guitar duo" and solos.

Re: Synyster Gates Invader

I'm not going to debate whether a band sucks or not, I have a life. I will say though that I have (honestly) heard all their albums and still not a fan.

Really? Didn't you OPEN that can of worms?

Somehow I'm sure the band will manage to sleep tonight.

Whether or not you like the band, you can win a free set of SYNvaders, pre-installed in his signature model Schecter. Just head over to the Guitar Shop to enter.

Would you know anything about my previous question???

From User Group Day, I still have the single coil version of that pickup as a pendant on a chain. Thanks Evan!
