t-rex tremonti phaser

what do you guys think about it? ive been loking for a versatile phaser for a while now.... maybe this one will cut it

i could look at other phasers, but this one i can get for really cheap, 220 bucks (i think its 270 retail or somewhere around that maybe more)

If $220 is a good deal on it, then get and post the review here. I haven't heard the pedal and as far as phasers go I'm only really familiar with the general idea of them (varying speeds and depths of 'woosh').

$220 for a phaser is cheap? Just get an MXR Phase 90, those things are classics, easily modifiable (the stock ones are a touch on the aggressive side, clip two parts and it becomes more subtle) and are only $80 brand new.

The tremonti phaser is pretty cool becuase it can switch between 4 stage and 8 stage I'd buy it just because there aren't many 8 stage quality phasers and I love the 8 stage sound. Doesn't have Res control and not sure what bite does. But its a cool looking phaser not sure if its worth $220 unless like me you want the 8 stage sound

If you want to check out a cool multimode phaser with a lot of flexability, have a look at the Source Audio Trimod phaser. I picked mine up on ebay for about 120.00. I had 2 new Phase 90's die on me in 4 months, so I was looking for something else with a little more going on. It's got 11 different modes , and can be modulated by an LFO, an envelope, or their hothand ring, which came with it. If you need a vintage analog phaser, it won't be the one. If you want a lot of unusual textural variations it is very cool. I especially like using the Envelop set to a long ramp, or using the hothand to control the mod speed. Usually for this kind of phase processing I had to resort to software plug ins...It's nice to have them on the floor for a change.
