I consider T-Tops to be supremely meh. Why do you think 70's Les Paul's spawned the custom pickup business? (I know - Marshall's without enough juice helped too.)

Tons of people in the 70's hated those things and couldn't wait to replace them. A lot of T-Tops were just plain crap. Having said that, Schenker and Angus did just fine with T-Tops. YMMV

^ And everyone playing post mid 60's 335's.

You have to sift opinions.....those interested in finesse and nuance can deal with T-tops generally speaking. Those playing heavier styles generally can't get enough out of them.

in the neck, ive like a ttop but in the bridge they usually sound anemic. the middle sounds can get great though
