Tailfeather Bridge

There is apparently a new type of bridge for strat body guitars called the Tailfeather which, in addition to converting a trem bridge to a hardtail also reduces the weight of the guitar because it's made of lighter material. I'm considering getting one but I'm curious to know if anyone on here has heard anything or has any experience with one of these things. Their site is at www.tailfeatherz.com

Re: Tailfeather Bridge

I've heard of it, but five springs and some wood shims work too. I t's cheaper too. A blocked trem is a blocked trem IMO. :)

Re: Tailfeather Bridge

It´s not a new bridge per se, but merely an (IMO) over-engineered way to block a trem. a piece of wood, stack of dimes,...etc will work just as well ;)

Re: Tailfeather Bridge

Yeah, I hear you on that, but my bridge is all rusted out so I'm going to be replacing it anyway, otherwise I'd probably just go with one of the aforementioned methods. Thanks for the input, though, and anyone else's opinion would be appreciated as well.
