Well, I was feeling a little adventurous today. So I took my Hamer Mirage I, which is a completely stock 1994 of which I am the original owner, and I yanked the Vintage Rails right out of the neck. I dropped in a Cool Rails and holy crap do I prefer that pickup. I'm getting tones out of this guitar I have not been able to get out of it because of the weak ass Vintage Rails. I do a lot of leads with the neck pickup, and the VR just didn't have the oomph I wanted. I kept this thing stock for so long because it has tremendous sentimental value. But I figured, I'm never getting rid of it, I might as well enjoy everything about it. So now, with a Hot Rails/Vintage Rails/Cool Rails combo, I have what might possibly be the most verstile guitar known to man. It will do damn near everything, at least everything I would ever expect out of it.
