talk me into a VHT

I cant really justify spending that much on a used amp

iv been lookng at the VHT 50/12 and the 45 in either head or combo versions.

B Bent says it will be the end of my search for tone

considering my style and playing (see below soundclick page)
do you thing either of those amps would work for me?

or do you have a better suggestion?

Chris

Re: talk me into a VHT

vht makes some very nice high gain rock amps, i am looking forward to trying the new deliverance amps!!

Re: talk me into a VHT

What I heared is that VHT amps are very tight and focused sounding, so you better play clean :D The distortion should be top notch, you have to play one!

Re: talk me into a VHT

The Deliverance head is absolutely awesome for high gain and is amazingly clear no matter how much gain you choose to use. Unfortunately it doesnt have a true clean channel so its not really useful for anything other than high gain stuff. Still one of my favorite amps right now. The Pittbull might be a remedy to the versatility issue.

Re: talk me into a VHT

I only know the Deliverance and Pitbull

i think they are the only rivals to Bogner and Marshall. They play everything from saturated leads to brown rhythm crunch. If it wasn't so similar to the Shiva I would have bought one... I literally came within secs of picking one up.

i don't know about that. I've heard some great clean clips from those amps. I have not had the privilege to play one myself. I'm sure if I did, I probably going to buy it on the spot.

Re: talk me into a VHT

Well Deliverance was"not" what i awaited.I compared it with Engl Special edition and Powerball side by side. The saturation is too saw like and the tone is not that impressive. The Pitbull OTOH is a monster.Somethingl like Bogner Ubershall and Diezel Herbert.
