Tapering resistor & Tweaking pot qn.. experts needed..

Hi all, this is my second post again...

I'm currently working on my Washburn guitar again and it seems that the Washburn uses linear long shaft mini pots. (Which I can't seem to find audio tapered replancements!)

Personally I prefer audio 250k pots.. (I'm actually trying to make a H-H guitar with DiMarzios sound strat! :laugh2: ) presently using an 82k tapering resistor to simulate an audio pot.

What I'm very confused is this: What values should I be using to simulate a 250k pot then?

From the project guitar website it says to use 2 1-Meg resistors wired in parallel on terminals 1 and 3 of the pot..

So in that case if I were to do both mods, what values should I use?

2x1 Meg - terminals 1 and 3
1x82k - terminals 2 and 3?

Or should I be using a 41k resistor instead for the second pot, since it's modded to 250k already?

Many thanks in advance.

Oh ya, if anyone could direct me to audio tapered, long shaft, mini pots, that would be greatly appreciated as well! :)
