I love the Jazz neck pup in my Korina PRS SE, but would like something different from the JB (great pup, but too much output and mids, very difficult to clean up a Fuzz Face with it). I love the sound of Gibson bridge humbuckers (490T, beautiful cleans, crunch and, with the right rig, even high gain), and I wonder if the TB 59b would get me halfway there. Also, is there anything in the SD line that would sound closer to a T Top?. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm looking for a classic Gibsonish tone (PAF or T Top). As far as I am conc3rmed, there is no TB-2 and my bridge is Trem spaced :2:

Lt Kojak used to say a short bar A5 in a Jazz Neck (7.5k) was the closest thing in the Duncan line to a T-Top.
In my experiments, a 59N in the bridge position worked VERY well was a poor-man's T-Top. What might be tubby in the neck, becomes a little bit of bottom end umph in the bridge and the rest of the range is clean and clear, because it's slightly lower output. Can grind and drive an amp but cleans up very well with the volume knob. I discovered this chasing Jimmy Page tone and a 59N in the bridge and a Jazz or Seth neck or 59N/A4 in the neck were really good combos for that purpose.

There are not too many demos of the Jazz bridge, just one, and it's bright!. Like the 59b better.

'59's are bright & mid-scooped (classic A5 sound), aren't really anything like 490's (A2's) which are warmer with more mids. To head in the 490 direction as you want to do, I'd go with an A2P. Also, Duncan's WLH has a warmer wind, and isn't as bright & scooped as typical A5 PAF's.
I know. I just mentioned the 490T as an example. I love Gibson bridge pups (PAFs, T Tops, etc.). They all have that certain "Gibsonish" flavor. Now, since you mentioned A2, the Pearly Gates TB also is a very appealing option. WLHB too. Thanks.

A bit late but I have a Jazz neck, 59/Custom Hybrid bridge in my SG. They work a treat individually and with each other, and both coils split nicely.
Also an option. A bit more power than the 59.
