TC Electronic Polytune Mini

Re: TC Electronic Polytune Mini

The best solution is to get a Snark, or even get two of them since they are so cheap. They are really great tuners, and extremely portable.

Ya know, I've been hearing good things about the Snark lately. Right now they're on sale @ Sweetwater for 10 bucks. Maybe I'll pick up a couple.

I have one of them, and I'm thinking about getting another just for the hell of it. I find it odd that I'm so impressed with a clip on tuner, but they are super accurate and super convenient. A few guys at work got one last week on my recommendation and they absolutely love them.

Re: TC Electronic Polytune Mini

the Snark takes up even less room on a pedal board...:naughty:

Re: TC Electronic Polytune Mini

Yeah, I know...

Just dissapointed becuz for my purposes a small pedal tuner would be great inside a gig bag or case for portability. Having to carry around a power supply & plug it in kinda defeats the purpose. I'd rather spend a few $$ on some 9v batteries just for the convenience.

For real gigs or jams I'd use my pedal board which already has a full size Polytune and power supply etc etc....

I love the idea of the mini. Just majorly dissapointed it doesn't suit my needs... LOL.

Got an iPhone? Get their iPhone app. I got it too and it works great. Or a Snark clip on. Those are perfect for portability (as mentioned already).

Re: TC Electronic Polytune Mini

Hey thats cool. I like my Polytune, its the only tuner that I liked enough to replace the old TU2 pedal.

Don't really have a need for another Polytune, but the size makes it gig bag/case friendly.

Any mention of the price? I could see myself getting one if it was slightly cheaper than the original Polytune.

I asked and they said about 89 USD / 79 EURO

btw to date the polytune is my favorite tuner, the reason I don't like others as much is one the polyphonic mode is a lifesaver but the screen is the only I've found that I can read in any environment light or dark. downside for me with clip ons is I play anywhere from 5-7 different guitars so it's cheaper for me to buy one pedal tuner than several clip ons.

this layout would have saved a lot of space, for instance above your wah pedal.

That is a cool layout. Would require some reworking of the design to make it work. I believe the jack would be too big to have the screen over it like that. But, it could work.

Above the wah pedal is impractical. Unless the tuner is taller than the wah, you'd have a tough time stepping on the switch.
