Teisco Guitar Nut Spacing Question

Imperator of Indignation
I picked up a cheap Vox Teardrop hollowbody husk today and it is missing a nut. I suspect it's a Teisco or other Japanese copy. The neck is 7.25 in radius and it uses a 42 mm Gibson style flat bottom nut. I have a nut that I pulled of an acoustic and my micrometer says the string spread is roughly 34 mm but it doesn't look like there's much free space on the outer E strings. Do any other manufacturers use a narrower 33 or 32 mm string spacing?

thats not easy if you dont have the tools or know how. a good set of nut files will cost way more than a good preslotted nut and if youve never done it, chances are your first attempt isnt gonna be as good as it should be. or instead of buying premade, find a local luthier to make one for you

I used the nut I have. If it doesn't work I will get a nut blank. I'm currently waiting on pickups and a bridge.
