tele custom

tele custom for five-hundred. built myself with nice warmouth body and genuine fender mim '52 shape neck neck (nice and fat), and a pair of dimarzio super dist. humbuckers. this puppy really kicks out the jams in any musical style. i was suprised with the pickups, real versatile, but turn down your amp if you normally use single coils!!

Re: tele custom

thanks saladin. i love the guitar, the neck shape fits my hands just right, and the thing sounds killer through my ac 30, but i have to part with it for a few reasons. i am moving soon, and have to lighten the load, and i know i can put pickups like these in my other tele someday.

Re: tele custom

thanks stratomaster. she sounds like butter, too. thanks for looking, and don't hesitate to spread the word if you know anyone looking for a new guitar. :burnout:

Re: tele custom

That will sound similar to Seymour's Tele-Gib. Man did he get some righteous tone with that thing....although I'm pretty sure it wasn't loaded with Dimarzio's.

Nice looking guitar brother....hope you move it soon.

Re: tele custom

yeah, they aren't for everyone (super dist.), but i have come to realize that there are so many variables in a guitars tone, from the pick in your hand, or lack of one, to the amp itself. then go figure out what room it was recorded in with what mic....it's endless. i know they sound great through my vox ac 30, and the clean tone through a fender twin is unreal. but your right, they may not be good to your ears. the fun is in trying new things, though. i never thought i would buy those pickups (especially by their name) but then i heard them through my buddies' twin (which was actually owned by johnny paycheck), and they sang. then again, life may be too short to hear all the different pickups out there.
