tele h/s/s recomendation

Thinking of picking up a tele I saw that has a H/s/s set up. All of the tele p/u sets here are geared toward H/s or s/s. if I pick this guiitar up I would like to change to SD quarter pounders but was not clear on what to use for the mid pickup.

Any thoughts?

Are we talking HSS á la Superstrat or SSH (RT/SC/HB)?

The tele would be similaer to a super strat in that regard yes. Bridge humbucker, mid and neck pick ups are single coils.

my guess was that a second neck quarter pounder would go in the middle p/u route but tone wise wasn't sure if this is the best way or if there were any thoughts there.

I don't know pick up windings that well and if the neck and middel pickups should be the same and therefore look the same if you tool a reading on them or if it would loook more like the bridge pickup.

I am a Blackguard Tele fiend so I would go for a HB/Strat/Tele set. If you are concerned about noise-cancellation, go for stacked coil replacements for the neck and centre pickups.
