Tele Pickup Wiring Help

I'm about to purchase a Feder Vintera II 60s Telecaster.

Beyond changing the stock bridge to a modern six saddled one, and factory tuners to Gotohs, the main challenge lies in installing a JB Jr. in the bridge and a Lace Sensor Blue in the neck position.

I have absolutely no knowledge about pickup wiring, and there is only one guitar tech where I live. He is skilled in many regards, but the guy needs serious guidance to pull off a proper wiring, as it's not his full-time job. Once he wired the pickups in a way which resulted in phasing issues.

Could someone please provide instructions and/or scehmatics how to wire the pickups in parallel? From what I understand, putting the Lace into equation complicates thinge quite a bit, but this is the configuration upon which I've settled on.

Thank you in advance, to anyone who is willing to help. <3

welcome to the forum!

ive not wired a lace with a duncan before, but im sure it can be done. hopefully someone will chime in shortly with your answer.

it is easy to get phase issues, but also usually easy to fix by flipping the hot and ground wires on one of the pups

Lace Sensors match standard Fenders with regards to polarity and phase. That's all I can help with at this exact moment

Which means a standard SD will be out of phase with the Lace. So swap the green and black on the SD.

Havent had Lace sensors in 15yrs.
All I remember is they have more wires than the normal 2 on a single coil.

Hey guys,

Thanks a lot to everyone!

Yeah, the multiple wires on the Laces are what is mainly confusing me.

I had previously a Squier CV 60s Mustang, and the tech was persuading me how it's impossible to put a humbucker in a single coil guitar. So, even with the provided schematics, he wired the Hot Rails and the stock neck pickup in series instead of parallel, which resulted in an atrocious combined tone, and he didn't know how to fix it...

He's a decent dude, and is a really good luthier, but needs firm guidance when it comes to pickup wiring.

If anyone happens to stumble upon a permanent solution, loads of thanks in advance.

As far as I can tell, you would do the Lace neck just like it is in their Tele diagram, then for the Duncan in the bridge, solder red/white together and tape over that connection with electrical tape or shrinkwrap, then solder green to the remaining hot lug on the switch and black to ground. This should put the JB jr in phase with any Fender or Lace pickup, but also have both pickups in parallel to each other when combined.

Hey man, thanks a bunch!

I've had some major financial setbacks lately, so I still haven't ordered the pickups, but I want to be absolutely sure about the wiring, so that when I take the guitar to the tech, that it's completely idiot-proof.

If someone could provide an idiot-proof diagram of how to successfully wire a Lace Sensor Blue and a JB Jr. in parallel, I would be enormously grateful.
