Tele tone out of a humbucker size pickup. Does this exist?

Nothing like being guilty until proven innocent eh...

I did use the word "apparently". :) He's dealing with having been jailed and court proceedings, so I doubt you'd be able to get a pickup out of him at the moment even if he were proven to not be a cyclist-hating psycho.

Check out the EH knockout attack EQ. I've got one and it works pretty well. It isn't perfect but will make your humbuckers sound very Tele like. There's some demo's on you tube. They can also be found pretty cheap used.

Here's a video clip on that pedal you mentioned. This pedal seems to do the job very well I might say. ;)

The G&L Z-Coils are pretty twangy. And my LP Historics with the BB2 in the bridge can get that solid bottom with a bit of edge, like a tele, but the top end stays sweet.

Remove the screws out of one coil of a fairly high output pickup such as a Gibson dirty fingers or something like it... You get twang with humbucking capabilities

Twang is largely in the fingers; it's a style more than it is a tone IMO. You can coax it out of any electric guitar. It's all about how you pick. Try picking more dynamically, digging deeper into the pick, using more meat on the strings, and really paying attention to your muting techniques.

As for the actual tone issue (not enough high end), I'd start by installing Triple Shots.

Even if it was an accident (seems unlikely), he's guilt of hit and run.

First the guy I replied to made it sound like he was guilty off of just presumption but to answer you... No.. Not until he has had his day in court is he guilty. Thats how the system is suppose to work. If it worked like you say then they would not give him bail they would just hand him a sentence. It may all come out true but the point of the system is that you get your day in court to tell your side of the story and not before then are you actually guilty of anything. You can say he is accused of you can say he is charged with but you cant say he is guilty.

I know what your thinking the incident happened so he had to of been there so he had to of done a hit and run. the reason hes not guilty of it automatically is he gets to tell his side of the story maybe it wasnt him the police have to prove in court that it was him so no you cant say hes automatically guilty.

Even then I dont want to turn this thread into a urination match over legal procedure none of this is relevant to the OP's question and I apologize to the OP for having made my original comment I was just being snarky towords the assumed guilt that floats around the internet.

OK, I agree that he is not guilty in the eyes of the law. However, IF (and I mean IF) he did it, then in the true sense of the word, he's guilty NOW. He could be proclaimed guilty but actually be innocent, or vice versa. The word "guilty" doesn't mean "convicted". Anyway, it's semantics. To be honest I can't wait to hear his side of the story. "THEY WERE IN THE WAY!"
