Telecaster custom build

So I'm building a guitar I kind of forgot about this forum there are too many photos to upload from day one . Last Friday I ordered my pickups for the neck is a Seymour Duncan Seth lover and in the bridge will be an Seymour Duncan 54 tele lead. My body is a two piece ash body with an weathers oak stain and gloss polyurethane clear coat.

When it first came in

after a few coats of stain.

And I guess today . My hardware will be gold . Not sure what I'm doing for a pickguard yet

I like the idea of a tortoise guard; would give it a nice contrast.

Yes kind of. I bought a body before but didn't do anything to it so sold it before I started lol

Thanks I pick up the rest of the parts tomorrow. Well order and how . I might get it painted down the road. Busy is just busy right now

I ordered the rest of the parts today. Was talking to my friend whims owns an auto shop and he said he could paint my guitar for me . So I'm going daphne blue for the body and alpine white on the pickguard. Both are official colours from Cadillac in 1958. I found paint codes and other numbers ect so now it waiting on money to get it done .
