Hmmm, I have to admit that I am not too convinced about this thing...but on the other hand I haven't been too convinced about my playing lately. I wonder which one it the problem....probably both.:smack:

Your Boss thing sounds great, why should you not able to make this one work for you as well??
You have just hit one of the numberous walls of playing music....I put down my guitar for almost 11 months, for some 11 years ago now....I was burned out.
But if my memory serves me right, did you not also had a break??
Anyways that Stones like track you made the other day showed the doubts are unfonded:)
Maybe you should just focus on having fun, and create more of those great tracks you make?!?
I dig your style bigtime, makes me wanna improve more myself.....I have doubts everyday about this playing thing...hehe then I just make some more effects instead:D
Dunno Marin, you are a cool player, and your bass stuff is cool as well, I would not worry too much about it:)

I don't know Niels, maybe its a momentarily insecurity in life which is being reflected through my playing. I mean, I really GAS-ed for this POD although I knew it wouldn't do the job and thats a bad sign... What I really wanted was a small, very good tube amp and I thought that the Mesa Lone Star Special (30w) might do the job. However, I couldn't find one to try and it's too expensive to buy by mail...So, when my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I asked for the POD. Given that I was pleased with the Boss sound right out the box, I probably would have been better off with a Gt8, but I wanted to try something different to the sounds I already have...(yes, why would I stick to a winning horse?).

Yes, you're right, I did take a break in my playing in the past, but it was for 12 years! More than a break, I gave up. But thats a long story...

I guess that I am just in a bad mood (because of work) and I am lacking inspiration and maybe it will just go away.

I can relate.....when outside stuff influence too much on life.
Bummer with the knowledge that it would not work for you:(
I am sure it will pass, make a blues over it...maybe it will be helpful?
That is one of the good things about playing, you can let it all out that way!
12 years...wow that is a long time, do not give up now.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT SOUND!:yell:

I can hear a typical "modern hi gain" POD sound, which is cool sounding and it sounds very good in your video...

I thought it sounded great . . . but then again, I'm accustomed to hearing me through a J-Station. :D

Marin, sounded much better this time (as far as the fizz aspect, playing is always excellent) what did you do different?

There were a few notes that sounded a bit off, but I'm not sure that was the POD.

Regardless, I like the style, and I like the overall tone. Thanks for sharing.

thanks Artie. Those J Station all sound good on the various samples I have heard. Its a pity Johnson didn't pursue the product.

I must say that I don't know...I wasn't looking specifically for elimination the fizz...I used less post processing tools (ie. none) like delay and reverb this time.
