Re: tell me about peavey
This is one of Peavey's workhorse amp designs. They used the same power amp for guitar, bass, keyboard and PA amps. This particular amp is designed to be used as a stage monitor amp...but, in your case, it should work perfectly with your Boss multi-effects.
I think this solid-state amp should do very well with the COSM modeling presets, as it will have very wide frequency response. Use the Graphic EQ on the Peavey very judiciously--DO NOT over EQ.
I believe the Power Amp is rated at 130 watts at 4 ohms, so you should have some nice headroom; and enough make a 412 cab grind pretty well.
Some of these old Peavey pieces can come in real handy. Obviously, it will work in your situation, and as a monitor EQ/amp--but you can use it with a crossover to bi-amp a bass rig, or as a backup bass amp, or to cover the high-frequencies in a bi-amped PA system. No doubt, there are patch points for the Graphic EQ that would allow it to be used separately, should you have need to patch in an EQ somewhere.
Sounds like a good score, and one that could be a very flexible tool in your arsenal for many years to come.
