Testing the waters: Gibson ES-135

Just wanted to see what the interest in this was...

2002 Gibson ES-135 -- Wine Red -- Gold Hardware
Very Good condition. Has a lot of dings on the back. Has a scratch or two on the front. It's not minty, but it isn't abused, and that's being very crtical. Most of the issues are not noticable from even a foot or two away.

AFAIK all stock. Got it used about 6 or 7 months ago. Interesting story: feller from the Dropkick Murphy's had this guitar on hold for a long time. When he finally came back around to get it, he decided to go with a Les Paul instead of this. I got in the store about an hour after he took it off hold, and it was mine.

I love this thing dearly, which is why I don't know if I wanna sell it, but I'm leaning more towards yes than no. I'll get more detailed pics if ya'll need 'em/decide I'm definitely selling.

Better shows the color...

Would LOVE to get about $850 + shipping for it, OBO. Would also be willing to listen to trades, but preferably not "+ cash" type deals. I'm very interested in a USA Hamer or something with P90S or the like (Gretsch?). Lemme know what ya got.

Re: Testing the waters: Gibson ES-135

I've got a 90s USA strat (deep blue color) that I don't play much anymore. Because the neck's tross rod bust on me, I replaced the neck with a gorgeous Warmoth "vintage modern" neck made of birdseye maple with a rosewood fretboard, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, "fatback" back contour (very comfy), graphite nut, and reverse headstock. Here's a description of the neck from the Warmoth site.

If you're interested, I can send you some pics.

Re: Testing the waters: Gibson ES-135

I'd like to see some pics of that, definitely.

However, not so sure I wanna trade anymore...gonna put this baby on eBay pretty soon. Still keep the offers coming etc. Thanks guys

What a beaut of a guitar. Somebody buy this!

Thanks bud!

I'm in no rush really. Figured I'd put it up for the heck of it, but I wanna find something to buy first before I definitely dump it.

Still open to offers etc etc...talk to me!

Re: Testing the waters: Gibson ES-135

What are the chances you'd be open to a trade for my Strat with the Warmoth neck? If you're not really interested, I won't bother posting pictures.

Don't worry about it then...if anything I'll probably be going for something with P90S. Thanks though!
