tha amp which has natural heavy distortion tone ? MARSHALL AVTX50, MG50,ROLANDcube60

Roland, cause Marshall's solid states kinda suck. Roland is dedicated to SS, and they do it moderately well. From what I've heard.

I would say Roland because I have a Micro Cube..and for what it is, it is an awesome amp.

Out of those, the Cube 60. The MG50 sounds like a chainsaw next to it. If you want reasonable tone at decent volumes you're better off with the Cube 30 though, the 60 is sometimes too loud for bedroom practice.

Not to mention that the Cube series has much more 'flavors' than the forementioned Marshalls.

Perhaps one of the smaller Line 6 Spider models would be a good choice, as they give solid modelling tones in a neat and small package.

Even while I'm not much a fan of those models, they'd be much, much better than the Marshall amps the topic creator asked for. A big yes.

Those MG series just keep selling because of the Marshall tag in front IMO. If it was just some brand they'd stall at those retail prices.

None of them are even going to get in the ballpark of natural heavy distortion.

BUT... Get a roland cube 60 and run a distortion pedal in the front end. You will have a pretty nice tone that way. I used a marshall jackhammer into my cube 60 and it sounded great. I now use the jack hammer into my champion 600, but I'm not exactly shooting for heavy.

Do you really need a distortion pedal once you have a Cube? A distortion pedal sounds fine with my Vox ToneLab, but it is totally not necessary.

At least I don't. I can dial from ZZ Top to Metallica with my Cube and I don't use a dirtbox. The really heavy tones do feel a bit flat on low volumes though, that's where a good distortion pedal might do better. I don't go for really modern tones anyway.

for a no-nonsense intense amp distortion, i'd recommend the Bandit.

^^^^^ And that's a ****in' good suggestion I hadn't thought about, considering I A/Bed it with my current amp before pulling the trigger.

It's a top choice in the $ range. Not as versatile but if you like the tone, you won't miss anything one bit. Definitely consider it.

He wanted natural sounding overdrive, not buzz box overdrive.

That makes sense. Dedicated distortion pedals can be selected and tweaked for personal preference. With any form of preamp processing, especially with layering effects, I like to keep the distortion lower than usual, so I usually don't add an external distortion to my multi-effect processors. But different combinations work for different people.

None of them especially not marshall! Either the new valvetronix high gain if distortion is your thing. Or even a small (5 watt) tube amp you can CRANK!

Stay away from the small Marshall AVTs and MG's... Rolands are great for cleans but have awful gain units.

You can go for a Roland and add a distortion pedal... would sound better then any solid state amp distortion I know.

Of those listed, my choice would be the AVT.

I do think the Bandit sounds better, though, and has more versatility. And it's more reliable than the Marshalls. The Roland is a great amp, but it doesn't sound as much like tubes as the Peavey.
